David Pearson – ‘Great Ideas’ Vol.I

Clerkenwell based graphic designer David Pearson’s idea is simple; to make books appealing so that anyone will want to read them, no matter how daunting the content.   Breathing new life in to Penguin Books, he has re-designed or commissioned all 100 volumes of Penguin’s popular Great Ideas series, cleverly bringing classic typography into the competitive field of 21st century publishing.  Using undercoated paper with embossing, he’s turned these books into cherished objects that people pick up, and don’t want to put down again.

Volumes II & III and more of Pearson’s work to follow..
